March ahoy

What's going on? Oil painting again, that's what. Which means no pics, regretfully. But I will tell you that there's a cephalopod involved.

In the meantimes, here's some thingies I made for fun.

Dress-up

This is something I've wanted to do for a while; dress up! It's fun, but it's also an interesting excersise in clothing planning. The image on the left is the dress from this picture. I hadn't thought before about how her dress actually worked under her bodice. I'll be adding a variety of clothes from Ene characters and a few unrelated items that match the theme.

WIP and thoughts about noses.

There's still quite a lot of work to do structurally. This will be my first painting of Esk represented as something other than a button-nosed brit (like her freind there, a result of referencing myself a lot while learning), so I want to get it right. It was always something that bothered me that I wasn't able to depict ethnicity satisfactorily. As you may be able to tell, I am still having more difficulty painting her this way than I am the more familar form.
I'd appreciate feedback on this.

Speaking of myself;

February times

"Mister Cephalopod cain't be distoibed. Sorry hun."

This is the only other idea I have had so far to go with the octopus and the sea monster. To be honest though, I wanted to keep with the bar theme rather than the mystery idea. I was in danger of getting a bit too Sharky and George.

This is a commission I wasn't paid for (so they never got the final file, ha ha) and a weird dream I had.

Traffic Light Elephants

I wish I was doing better things than this.
I wish I could do things at least this good for uni.
I do not like my self art right now.

Freckles

Did this this morning.  Pretty much the only thing I've done in flipping ages that I've actually liked. :<

Decembertimes thingies

Lines for new drawing. The colours didn't go so well, but I was pleased with the lines.

This picture was hanging around on my computer for literally years; just decided to repaint it in some kind of less shameful manner.
